Advent For A Justice-Seeking Church

During the season of Advent, the Christian Church looks to the prophets as we long for Jesus to come, but what does it mean to ‘make straight the paths of the Lord’ or to remember with Mary that ‘he has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty’?
Over this course of 4 online Zoom sessions, Rev Helen Kirk will lead our exploration of the traditional advent readings through the lens of ‘A justice seeking Church’. Rev Helen Kirk is Chair of the Chester & Stoke on Trent Methodist District and served on the Walking with Micah reference group. She believes she is called to listen to and to tell stories.
