With around 40,000 second hand books at bargain prices on a massive range of topics, the world famous Alsager Book Emporium is probably the best second hand bookshop in the north west. Plus all of its proceeds go to support the work of the local Englesea Brook Chapel and Museum of Primitive Methodism.

We are in the process of moving over to cashless payments so if you could be prepared to pay by card or by phone that would be a great help.
Donations can be made during opening hours (see below). All donations in bags or manageable boxes (to save our backs!) We are having some work done outside at the moment so with larger donations please email first: maxcricket@btinternet.com. Please note that we are not taking DVDs at the moment.

Would you like to become a volunteer? You could help in the book shop, or help price books for auction. If so, we would be delighted to hear from you.
You can view and/or download a complete map of the Book Emporium as an A3 PDF which will allow you to zoom in and see what is on offer on our shelves to help you in your browsing.
You can also download and print off A4 PDFs of maps of each of the various sections:
Your support is really appreciated, and special thanks go to the volunteers for making it all happen!
Twice a year an informal act of worship is held amongst the books on Good Friday and the Friday closest to Remembrance Day. All are welcome to join in, or continue browsing our shelves.
