In “George Edwards and the General Strike” the Rev Graham Hedger looks at the activities of the Primitive Methodist politician George Edwards during the 9 day strike of 1926, focusing on Edwards’ support for the mineworkers and their families, prompted by a fiercely moral Christian socialism based on the Bible rather than Karl Marx.
