The lockdown experienced by many families, charities and businesses throughout the world has been a challenge for many, and Englesea Brook Chapel and Museum is no exception. Initially, our focus was on the ‘Chapel’ aspect of our work and we sought to pastorally care for our staff and volunteers as we mourned the absence of the Englesea Brook community which so many value. And so began the Online ‘Friday Prayers at Noon’ and the ‘Englesea Extra’, a weekly newsletter produced by the staff as a way of keeping in touch with the on-going work of the museum and each other.
As the weeks have gone on, we have reflected on what our Primitive Methodist forebears might have to teach us in these strange and unsettling times. Take a look by clicking on the links below for interesting articles local Primitive Methodist history, latest developments on the MyPrimitiveMethodists website, unearthed treasures, ideas for parents homeschooling, book reviews, quizzes and conundrums.
If you have any prayer requests, please email Ruth Hilton, Project Director, and we will include them in our Friday Prayers at Noon.
