SUMMARY:Friday Forum Theatre: Strike! The Potteries Riots Of 1842
DESCRIPTION:Millicent is a slip-caster working in the Potteries in 1842. A member of the Women’s Chartist Movement\, she is a fervent supporter of strike action to further the Chartist cause\, but the events of 16th August in Burslem are not what she expected… \nJoin us for the first Friday Forum Theatre performance of 2026 in which our learning officer\, Elizabeth Morris\, will use her skills as a professional storyteller to tell a tale from the age of Primitive Methodism. Each performance is followed by a discussion of the issues raised. \nTo book your ticket (cost £8 each) please email learning@engleseabrook.org.uk. Pay at the door. \nNot suitable for under 12s.
