Stories from the Mantelpiece: Victorian Religious Pottery Figures

10.30-11.30 am Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum

Stephen Duckworth, a collector for over 40 years, will tell the story of the colourful, naïve biblical and other religious pottery figures which found their way into many Primitive Methodist homes in the 19th century.

A new display in the museum explores these fascinating artefacts and there is a copy of Stephen's book of the same title in the Cottage Reading Room.
