See You In April   Recently updated !

Our Museum is now closed for the Winter (it’s a cold building). Our doors open again on Thursday 2rd April 2026.

Although the Museum is closed our Chapel will continue to host events between now and April including 2 Christmas wreath-making sessions, a Carol Service and our annual performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”. We will also be active online: we will be hosting our annual series of Four Lessons For Advent; our Zoom Heritage Talks on topics related to Primitive Methodism will continue into 2026; and another session of our online Book Group will take place on 22nd January, when we will be discussing Johanna Bell’s “The Bobby Girls”. Details of all of these events will be posted on this website, and on our Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky feeds.

When April arrives our days and opening hours will be:

  • Thursday 11am to 3pm
  • Friday 11am to 3pm
  • Saturday 11am to 3pm
  • Sunday 2pm to 4pm

In August we also open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and our Tuesday to Saturday opening hours are 11am to 4pm. So if you want to visit a beautiful chapel, a wonderful museum, and a lovely tea shop in the heart of some gorgeous countryside, you know where to come and when
