Collection Policy

The Museum collects objects illustrating the history and development of Primitive Methodism, 1807-1932.

It may sometimes be appropriate to collect material of a wider Methodist heritage to illustrate the story of Primitive Methodism and its context.

There is a particular need for objects which interpret the engagement of Primitive Methodists in politics, including the Chartists and Trade Unions.  This is a key part of the Primitive Methodist story, which is not sufficiently represented by objects in the collection.
